Baab ("we," "our," or "us") is dedicated to helping community members find local Islamic events, Jummah prayer times, and community organizations. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle information when you visit or use gobaab.com.

2. Information We Collect

We prioritize user privacy and minimize data collection:

• Location Data: When you search for events or prayer times near you, your browser may request location access. Location coordinates are used solely to compute distance calculations in real time and are never stored on our servers.
• Community Submissions: When you submit an event or report Jummah times, we collect the details you provide (e.g., event title, date, location, contact link) to display accurate information to the community.
• Authentication: If you sign in, we process your account email and basic profile data securely via Supabase Authentication.

3. How We Use Information

Information collected is strictly used to display community event listings, verify prayer service schedules, and provide search filtering by distance or city. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser Local Storage for essential preferences, such as saving your bookmarked events or remembering banner dismissals.

If you sign in, Supabase (our authentication provider) sets a session cookie to keep you signed in. If you don't sign in, we still set one anonymous, first-party cookie to support basic site analytics — a randomly generated id with no personal information, rotated every 30 days. We never store your IP address or link this id to your identity.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics service that reports aggregate visitor and traffic trends without tracking individuals.
