Join us for a monthly gathering designed specifically for young adults (ages 20+) seeking to strengthen their relationship with Allah while building meaningful friendships within the Muslim community. As young adults navigate college, careers, marriage, relationships, and other major life transitions, Suhbah creates a space to pause, reconnect, and reflect. Each gathering will feature a practical reminder rooted in the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ, followed by an opportunity to connect with fellow young adults over coffee and conversation. Join us for Building Stronger Marriages an interactive workshop for couples and singles at every stage — those preparing for marriage, the newly married, those years in, and those beginning again. It is led by Ustadh Faraz Malik and it is built on classical Islamic sources and grounded in professional counseling research, and it is designed to be attended preventatively, not only in moments of crisis. Most couples do not lack love — they lack tools. The workshop meets the realities nearly every marriage faces: disconnection, recurring conflict, and quiet emotional distance. It does so without making attendance feel like a public admission of struggle. People come to strengthen something good, not to confess that something is broken. We will have snacks and a coffee vendor for everyone to enjoy Thursday, November 12th | 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. | MCC Conference Room | RSVP at mcceastbay.org/young-adults | Join us in person or live Featured Speaker: Imam Faraz Malik Faraz Malik is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), educator, and religious scholar with a unique combination of expertise in mental health, Islamic studies, and classical Arabic education. He holds a BA in Mathematics, a Master’s in Islamic Studies, and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Faraz also spent four years in Amman, Jordan, where he deepened his mastery of classical Arabic, teaching at the esteemed Qasid Arabic Institute. He furthered his traditional Islamic education by completing the demanding five-year Alimiyyah program at Qalam Seminary.
